Friday, December 2, 2011. Austin, Texas. It's December, schools are in the last couple of weeks before the winter break. The weather has changed considerably and we have experienced over two inches of much-needed rain during the past two weeks.
Last month, Nancy and I took a two-week driving trip to the west coast to visit friends and to attend the annual conference of the American Evaluation Association (www.eval.org). The conference was great. I was able to attend several sessions related to mixed methods data analysis, focus groups, and case studies. These are areas of research and evaluation that have been an important part of my consulting activities for the past three years. This was a very productive meeting.
During the trip, we were able to visit two presidential libraries, the Nixon Library and the Reagan Library. Click on the " Features" tab for more information and some photographs I took on our visits to these libraries.
My consulting services are outlined in a bit more detail in the "Consulting" section of this website. Please contact me if you are interested in enlisting my services to (a) provide your organization with details on the many changes brought about by Senate Bill 6, (b) work with your sales teams to bring them up to speed on the implications of this legislation on their activity in the field, (c) provide an overview of the coming policy changes that are required for full implementation of the new legislation, (d) assist with survey research, structured interviews, and focus groups to determine effectiveness of a business or educational process.

There are also a couple of links to videos on You Tube that I posted this year. One of them is a a seven-minute chronology of my life, another video project that was a great deal of fun to complete. Check it out.
